Making Your Own Gift Baskets
So many people know how fun it is to receive a present. However there are those who receive far more satisfaction from making their own, either for business or for personal reasons. All your creativity is engaged. It’s an ideal way of using any skills your already have or you can even learn new crafting skills. If you have never made your own gifts it can be quite confusing knowing where to start. Rest assured, it’s easy! Some choices you can have include a gift basket of wine and chocolate gift baskets.
First, choose a theme. A gift basket can have any theme you wish. If the person you are buying for enjoys reading then this will give you a clue. An amazing gift basket will possibly be a gift basket full of books and accessories such as a book light. In addition to the books, some chocolate may be nice so that they can devour it whilst reading their books. Or perhaps the person your are gifting the basket to enjoys playing a game of chess… Think of stuffing a gift basket with a miniature magnetized set and arranging the pieces in an interesting pattern.
Now it’s time to think of the layout. Sketch out, on paper or just in your mind, what you’ll need to execute your gift basket idea. Make a list of materials, sizes and tools. Then, go buying. This can be a lot of fun and it needn’t be a chore.
A gift basket wouldn’t be complete without a basket of course. That can be anything that will hold the items - a traditional wicker container, an antique coffee can, an ancient toy bucket or a contemporary planter. If possible, try to buy a basket that matches the overall theme you have choosen.
Chosing the gifts and the basket is the first two steps, now wrapping it all up is needed. One of the most popular products for wrapping up a gift basket is cellophane. However you could also opt for wax paper which is great to work with but also adds an extra element of surprise in terms of opening it.
